Grief Education & Training

Duke Hospice Bereavement Services serves as a unique educational resource to meet the training needs of your organization.

Professional Development

We design professional development training events for corporations, schools, mental health practitioners, crisis-intervention teams, and health care professionals. Some of the most requested topics are grief, trauma, compassion fatigue, loss of a child, and children’s grief.

The normal fee schedule is as follows, and can be adjusted if necessary:

$150 per hour
$500 for a half-day training
$1000 for day-long training

Community Grief Education

For community groups, we offer highly-rated, interactive presentations tailored to fit your setting and particular interest in grief. Educational presentations for civic groups, religious communities, and volunteer organizations are available for a minimum contribution of $75 per hour.
