Crisis Services for Individuals & Groups

Sudden, powerful events are called critical incidents. Examples in the workplace or school environment include line-of-duty death, suicide, acts of violence or terrorism, motor vehicle accident, or natural disaster.

DHBS offers supportive and effective interventions to help prevent harmful effects to those individuals and organizations that have been affected by a traumatic event. Counselors at Duke Hospice Bereavement Services are certified in Critical Incident Stress Management. The fee is usually $150 per hour and can be adjusted as necessary. To access these services, please call (919) 644-6869.
