Inpatient Hospice
Overview | Hospice at The Meadowlands | Hock Family Pavilion

Duke Hospice provides sensitive, respectful, palliative care in a setting that’s right for you and your loved ones—whether at home, in an assisted living facility, hospital, or nursing home, at our Hillsborough inpatient facility—Duke Hospice at the Meadowlands, or at our newest inpatient facility—Hock Family Pavilion.
The interdisciplinary team of caregivers at both locations—including nurses, social workers, chaplains, nursing assistants, volunteers, and counselors—is dedicated to meeting these needs through inpatient hospice care:
  • Pain control and management of symptoms such as nausea, seizures, respiratory distress, and complicated wounds
  • Psychosocial and clinical interventions to help address emotional and spiritual crises
  • Transitional care education for new surroundings after hospital discharge
Patients receive medical attention in warm, comfortable surroundings, and families and friends can feel at ease knowing that their loved one is being cared for around-the-clock, seven days a week.
